First,I am a real novice with biab. I am trying to learn to play the old hit "Sleepwalk" on my guitar. It apparently is in 6/8 time, and this doesn't seem to be available in biab. How do I achieve this ? I would like the back-up to sound similar to the one on this youtube video. Welcome to the forum.
You are correct, BIAB does not have more than four beats per measure, so you can stop looking. However, there are many built-in styles that simulate 6/8. You can find these in the style picker (Ctrl+F9 or click on the Style button). Look near the bottom for a line that says, 6/4, 6/8, 9/8, 12/8.
For example, in 12/8, each beat in a measure of 4/4 has three eighth notes, so you can make this work in 4/4.
There are other workarounds too, but try the built-in styles first.

Thanks for the info. I think that even I can do that ! However, after listening to the youtube video again, I think that fellow is using 2/4 time. When I looked at the sheet music online it indicated 6/8. But the 2/4 sounds good to me !!

2/4 played in Swing Feel, which is really subdivided into three notes per beat, can often sound exactly like 6/8...

Try the Sam Cook style . . . it works for me.
Besides if your phrasing is correct 99% of audiences will think it sounds just like the original

Try downloading the free midi version on the web and open it up in real band. Works great. Try searching Free Ventures Midi files. You will find about 69 or 70 of their most famous song which are in pretty good shape. In real band, you can monkey with them and change them how you like. Hope this helps. Also, under Ultimate Guitar Tableture, there is a version, if you have Guitar Pro software, that works and sounds great also.

Well it just happens that I created a Biab File for Sleepwalk a while ago. It came originally from a midi file I downloaded somewhere, and has gone through a few transformations. Sleepwalk MP3 and Biab Files I created tracks in Biab and moved them yo Reaper, played around with them some more and recorded myself playing lap steel melody. I'm quite pleased with how it turned out. Hope its useful to you. Andrew
