I recently wrote a song for a local roadio presenter who has made quite a few cds and featured a couple of my songs.
This one "Powerful" has really excited him and he plans to record it as a single ASAP and use it as his theme song at all the concerts he appears in.
His mother loves it too, and she has sent copies to a few other artists and they want permission to use it as well.
It was played twice on Sunday on the radio and had a great response via phone calls to the studio.
It is so encouraging to get this kind of response to what we do - it keeps us enthused, - sometimes we get it right!
It'll never be a chart topper, but at least some people will get a blessing, and for me that's what it's all about.
Just thought I'd let you know in the hope that it will encourage you all to keep at it !

Blessings,
Mark.

When you are at the checkout line and they ask if you found everything say "Why, are you hiding stuff?"

Great job Mark,

I think you have a simple and direct approach in this song that is very POWERFUL.
Simplicity is one of the most difficult things to accomplish.

Congrats on your news.

Thanks Pete,
when I started this one I had a few "accidentals" and minor chords included to make it more interesting - but I knew the guy singing it would be wanting audience participation, and wouldn't want to have to concentrate on sudden changes, so I just did a simple tune that would "flow".
I've been hearing good reports from a lot of people, which is encouraging - it's not the best song in the world, but it seems to have hit the spot with the area it's aimed at.
They intend to produce it (vocal track has already been laid down) and promote it as much as possible, and the proceeds are going to a particular charity for disabled children - that makes it a double blessing.
When I get a copy of the finished product I'll post it.
Thank you all once again for listening and commenting.

Blessings,
Mark.
