Do you know of any real tracks which contain that soft shaker sound (sort of like shaking sand in a plastic easter egg)

The Full Bossa sets have percussion but none with just the egg shaker. There is a RT shaker loop that may do the trick for you.

Hi Kristen, Its real easy to make your own. Doesn't have to be egg-shaped, although they are great, and usually for sale on the counter at music stores. I suggest a small container, like a plastic pill bottle, or similar, put rice or beans inside, and try not only shaking them, but swirling them around in a circle, you can make all kinds of interesting rhythms. I have some loops around here somewhere, will upload later if you wish. Andrew

TIP: Try using a common tiny Sugar pak from restaurant as Shaker.
Hold by one edge and shake near mic.
Close mic'd, can turn in quite a performance, actually.
Could also make your own Loop for use in BiaB this way, as well.
Thanks to Steve D., who taught me this trick long ago, before we had PCs to record on.

I know this is more of a "Wish List" type post but one thing glaringly missing IMHO from BiaB is the lack of more Real percussion choices.
