Combinations of different sounds from different synths, hardware or software or mixed, is easy to do in Realband, where you can address different synths simultaneously, but inside Band in a Box, we can only address one MIDI output synth at a time. Therefore it is best to choose a MIDI output device that has a really good sounding GM/GS/GM2 bank so that you can easily play back BIAB songs and hear what they are going to sound like.
