I have been up and down that road many many times. The best I could come up with (for me anyway) was This Stand from Office Depot. I modified the bottom by placing a 1/8" piece of Luan board and secured all of my electronic adapters and cords, i.e. my laptop, mixer, Digitec harmonizer and power strip. My laptop and small mixer fits on the table top secured with velcro. And oh yes I did have to adjust the height riser with a small piece of 2"x2" wood attached to the inside riser arm. All of the guts are hidden with various themed styled curtins that fasten to the stand with velcro. It is light weight and carrys in on my equipment cart.
