Good start, yes.
Remember you right-click on a chord cell to open a helpful menu of most common tasks. One of them is "Chord Builder". That guides you through the entry of any possible BiaB chord; it will remind you how to do it when you forget.
As for the comma between chords, that's one function that has always functioned. You can get 4 chords per measure with it. It does fail unforgivingly if you type even one character wrong. So try again more carefully, using simple chords to convince yourself it works.
