Hutchins,

An alternative approach is to use the right-click menu that Allis mentioned. Via this menu, it's possible to control each 1/4 note beat in a bar.

Right-click on the required bar and select "Chord Settings". (This a very useful menu for a number of reasons and can also be accessed by using Alt+F5.)

At the top left for the Chord Settings box are "Beat 1, 2, 3, 4" as highlighted in the above image. Let's say I want to enter C, C with a D bass, C with an E bass, C with an F bass as the four chords in a bar.

First: Select Beat "1" and type C in the box to the right of the word "Chord".

Second: Select Beat "2" and type C/D.

Third: Select Beat "3" and type C/E.

Fourth: Select Beat "4" and type C/F.

Click on "OK" to exit the menu. You should now see the following on the chord sheet.

This is a very useful menu for many things and is worth playing around with just to see what the various options do.

All the best,
Noel
