Hi, Johnny -
Which trumpet did you use, because when I load the file, it shows up as a sax.

Never mind; I just looked. I believe the problem is that none of the trumpet RT's have holds implemented. Some of the saxes do (including the one that is currently selected in the file).
So the only way you're going to be able to get the trumpet to hold is to either play it yourself, or use a MIDI trumpet.
Not the answer you wanted, but that's as I see it.

Thanks for trying.. Yes I put in a Sax, couldn't find a trumpet with holds.. Unfortunately I don't play any wind instruments.. I would try a midi, but didn't know how to go about it...
the song says a man & his horn, so I figured a Sax is a horn, so I slipped it in, but can't figure out how to make it play through bar 23, & not stop so abruptly on the other stops..
Oh well maybe PG Music will do some trumpets & other wind instruments with holds..Might be something for the wish list.. I'm assumming a hold can be played on trumpet.. or even ending notes like on that flv I sent...

I suspect that those were some of the early recorded RealTracks done before they implemented holds in RealTracks. PGMusic would have to include that or get new recordings, I imagine. Yep, sounds like a good idea for the wish-list.

John, I have BIAB 2012.5, so I'm assuming that I have the latest.. Oh well, can't say we didn't try.. How would I go about loading a midi trumpet in there, & see what happens..??

Johnny, why don't you set up the track as you want it, but without the instructions that don't seem to work. Render the Trumpet to a wav file. Now set up the song as you want it to play minus the Trumpet. Put that BiaB file into RB then import the Trumpet wav file. Might seem a little long winded but should work..

Thanks for your reply Chris.. I'll certainly give it a try, but I'm not at all proficient with Real Band.. What I've been doing is building my tracks in BB, then rendering them to individual wave files & sending these individual Wave files to my Korg 32 track recorder via USB cable.. I can't record on my desktop, 1.. because I'm not computer literate enough, 2. my computer is too old, 3. My computer room is only 6' x 8', & my Korg is in a bigger room..

Chris, I guess my problem is solved, not great, but workable..
First I rendered the file with all breaks & stops, & sent it as individual wave files to my Korg D3200, (instead of Real Band)..I now had all instruments on separate tracks.. I then made an identical file, but removed all stops & breaks, & generated a trumpet onto the Melody track.. I set the ending to be at bar 114, & then rendered the file again, but this time I only sent the melody track via USB to the Korg & put it onto Tracks 15 & 16 because Melody was a Stereo track. The Trumpet also gives a decent ending instead of cutting the note short at the end..
I would like to thank everyone for help & suggestions, especially John for posting my file, & Chris for the work around suggestion.. Only so much that this 79 year old head of mine can absorb, before self destructing...lol...
Still would be nice if PG Music would have some Trumpet, Clarinet & other wind instruments with holds for applications like this, with breaks, & pauses..
