Those are good specs, nor should you need ram to solve this problem. If by mismatch you mean that you have one 1g stick and one 512 stick, you are defeating the DDR capability of your ram, try just the one 1g stick for in double density mode it will actually run as 2g (double clock cycle).

If still no joy I'd recommend a reinstall of RealBand and the pgmusic plugins, right overtop, see if that makes a difference, preferably do it this time with any virus scanners turned off.
