I have lead-in clicks turned off in the main preferences of BIAB, however, when I started trying to get realdrums working for this song, the lead-in clicks came back, and now I can't get rid of them. Loading a different song, I find it plays without the clicks, but loading this song again, the clicks startup again.

Adding some info... I think what has happened is that, because I rendered the audio, it is choosing to play the wav file instead of the actual BIAB song file. I didn't know it behaved like that.
Now, the wav file has the drum clicks in it. It shouldn't, but it does. So the question now is, why doesn't the audio renderer leave out the lead-in clicks as per my preferences?

Hi Dazz,
You are using the Global "performance" countin setting wbut the Render to Audio's separate setting is for this purpose.
Not a bad thing, because this answers each individual case with a way to get what is desired by users. Some may not want the audible countin in performance or practice,
When Rendering to Audio, slow down and read all the options available in the Render to Audio Window.
Down at the bottom is a checkbox to not Render the countin.
**Any .wav, .wmv or other digital audio file that is in the same folder as your BB songfile, and has the same exact filename prefix, will load and play on the Audio track in BB along with the BB autoaccompaniment performance.**
If you have that situation, you should look into the folder where that songfile is stored, find the Audio file and move it out of the folder or delete it in order to have just the BB performance load and play back. OR you can use the Audio tab inside BB, leftclick and choose Mute Audio or if you desire to permanently delete the audio file, choose Kill Audio there.

When I click on the menu option to create the audio file, all I get is a yellow popup telling me the file is being created. No option window. I need to do it the way you are, so I get that options window. How to you initiate the rendering to audio?

Found it. I was using the menu - Play > render song to Audio Track, but I found the dialog you mention by going to - Audio > render MIDI to Stereo .WAV file etc
I hope that it does more than just the MIDI. I need to realdrums etc in the file as well.

It does on my machine here, I'm using the latest version but seem ro recall the realtracks being merged in from earlier versions as well.
You must have "Use DXi" checked in the MIDI/Audio output window, selectable from the Options menu in order to do Direct Rendering, regardless of whether there are any MIDI tracks or not. Make sure of that and it should work for you.
