I want to use the T-Racks plug in, and I'm getting static out of it every few seconds, maybe every 15 seconds or so. It just 'bursts' for about 2-4 seconds, and then goes away. The plug in is authorized, and I wasn't under the impression that this was a 'trial' software. Is it?
I had this happen both in Real Band and in Sonar X1. I really want those plug ins for mastering.
Any ideas? I could use the help, please.
Gary

IK MultiMedia support is great. They can help. I really recommend installing T-RackS CS Custom Shop Free http://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/trcs/It includes Metering for free There's a Gear -> My Gear drop down to show what gear you have licensed Gear -> Restore My Gear that will put things back as long as you're logged in correctly While you're at it, install Amplitube Custom Shop

Hi Gary,
The behaviour you describe certainly sounds like trial software that's expired it's trial period. What T-Racks plug-in are you referring to?

Noel, I'm guessing that ALL of the plug ins come in the package we got from PG Music in this latest update, but some of them must still be trial. In fact, it seems that all of them are trial, even though my T-RackS-Custom Shop, Amplitude 3 and SampleTank 2 are all authorized. I haven't played with Amplitude yet, and SampleTank only gives you very limited sounds (I'm probably going to have to buy one of the libraries for it). If what I'm reading on IK Multimedia's page is correct, we only get a 6 band parametric EQ and the metering plug in. Everything else that they offer has to be purchased. What it looks like I'm going to have to do is to buy the individual plug ins that I want, or spend $400 for the Grand pack. Oh well, must not have read some important README or something. Gary

As far as I know, only Sampletank comes with new version. The rest got there some other way .. correct me if I'm wrong anyone.
I try to keep up with the new offerings and a free T-Racks would have caught my eye I think .. I don't have that one. I use others, but if'n it was included I'd probably have noticed.
I do not work here, but the benefits are still awesome Make your sound your own!

I did not see it included with the new BiaB either, was already thinking that he got some other way. Sometimes hard to recall that sort of thing somewhere down the timeline...

I have T-racks and it does not come with BIAB. I got it as a bundle when I bought the IKM Ampeg SVX and the guitar/bass interface.

Well, I have no idea how I got it, it just showed up on the computer. I wonder if maybe it didn't show up with Sonar X1, although I don't recall it. The problem is, there are some really nice presets in there, and I'm going to have to end up buying the durned thing, and I have a lot of other things that need money, too. I really need to win the lottery! Gary

I'm equally sure it did not come with SONAR X1.
You got lucky somewhere, though, Gary!

Well, not really Matt, since I can't use them. I have the plug ins, and the EQ and Metering work just fine, but everything else is unusable. I'm going to have to buy the rest of the Grand set, which is $400. Don't have that money right now, and even if I did, it would go to fixing my PA 800 first.

OK. I like Noel's idea that you have a timed-out trial version, though I don't really know because I haven't worked with T-Racks.

Good point, I just discovered Custom Shop yesterday. Gary, if you just installed the free T-Racks then Custom Shop is already there in your Programs list. What's cool about it is you first get to use the free versions of both T-Racks and Amplitube but if there's a part of it you're interested in and it's not included in the free version you can buy just that one thing. Pretty slick. I'm interested in the new Leslie 147 model for Amplitube and it's not included so I can buy it through Custom Shop for $20. Not bad if it's a good leslie sim.
Rharv, what you can get for free is in your personal Users Area on IKM's website. Everybody gets the limited free versions of Amplitube, T-Racks and Sampletank.

Biab/RB latest build, Win 11 Pro, Ryzen 5 5600 G, 512 Gig SSD, 16 Gigs Ram, Steinberg UR22 MkII, Roland Sonic Cell, Kurzweil PC3, Hammond SK1, Korg PA3XPro, Garritan JABB, Hypercanvas, Sampletank 3, more.

A limited free version of mastering software that buzzes every minute is not what I want to put my system through.
At least the free demo of Ozone actually works, even if only for 10 days or so. Gary, check Ozone out before paying for T-Racks. I happened to like it better and never regretted buying it.
I do have the other IK products. My Amplitube is free version, but I paid for Sampletank stuff somewhere along the line.

Bob, Okay, figured out a little more on this As said above, if you download the Free T-RackS with the EQ and Meter, you'll also get the opportunity to download the Custom Shop. If you sign into the Custom Shop, there is a Try button on each of the plug ins, and it's good for two days. So, if you wanted to do a weekend of Mastering, you could 'try' all the stuff for two days, and then have it revert back to trial. However, it gets real expensive, really fast. For instance, one preset that I really like needs three plug ins, the White 2A, a vintage EQ, and a clipper. Cost for that is 200 'credits', which will cost me $140. Yeah, that chain sounds really nice, but I don't do 'pro' stuff, it's just for me, so that's a huge waste of money. especially when I need to get this fixed. Gary

I'd go for the keyboard fix before the plugins. Just sayin'. You're going to have a lot more fun with the keyboard than you will trying to get that exact perfect sound by tweaking the plugins. And you'll use the keyboard a whole lot more, too, I imagine.

That's about the size of it, John. I just don't happen to have the $450 to get it fixed. Wells Fargo did offer me the opportunity to get a new credit card today, 0% interest for a year, and then low interest after that, because my credit rating is so good. I've had my eye on the new PA3X 76 key version, but that's $4,000. I can get it for less, but still, it's a lot of money. I'm so tempted to get the CC, and just dump it on there, but then I would have TWO credit cards with $4,000+ balances on them. Not really a good idea in this economy. So, fix the PA800, and go from there. Besides, there has got to be a ton of free VSTs out there. I will take Bob's suggestion and look at Ozone, though. Gary

I had a screen go recently, so I control it from the software that came with it. Once I started doing that I realized it was faster to find patches for it on the computer than thru the maze of menus. So I just left it.. sad thing is if I could find the receipt Roland would cover the repair, but I can't remember where I got it!

No software that comes with this, Bob. Plus, there are parts under the areas that I really would like to be able to see. It'll get fixed eventually, maybe, someday. Gary

I have same problem. When I installed BIAB, part of the installation was to install IK Multimedia. Out of that setup, if I remember correctly, I had freebies Amplitube, SampleTank, T Racks. All free with full licences. I installed on 1/1/13 but only just opened up T Racks to check it out today. I had to register it but despite that I'm getting the noise every few seconds. From what I can see, this is the plugin/s in demo mode but I registered the software so how can this be so? I've emailed IK Multimedia and will have to wait. I'll be disappointed if this "FREE" software is a gimmick requiring further purchases of whats already installed.
