My take on this is that Peter nailed the "proper" way of thinking in the first place.
When working with the feature, I tend to think the way it is laid out, in other words, "Start at bar #X and that encompasses Y number of bars.
Which is also a good way to think when playing, as in "8 bars of A, 8 bars of B, 8 bars of A, etc."
Adding the warning should catch those who think otherwise and, as with so many things implemented in bb, might get them to start thinking about these things in that fashion.
