I have a little over $5,000 on hand right now. Add to that probably another $2,500 that i no longer have. That does not consider the somewhere around $1,500 in software i own.

I just started making my second million in the music business. 
I failed making the first million, so I decided to skip that one and move on to the second.

99% of my gear is for live gigs and from what I see posted above this is the least expensive way to go as seems most of the big bucks go to the studio and what it takes to keep it going. See being too lazy to record has indeed saved me a few bucks.  Now if I can convince my wife to be my roadie I would invest in a good lighting system. Later,

OT: My music gear (soft and hardware) is currently insured for 50.000 Euro. Ofcourse this isn't all just for "the man cave". Most of my gear is for comercial use, either for live gigging, live recording, live sound engineering etc. So these are just the tools of my trade.
