While at my computer but not not using BiaB at the time, all of a sudden the drive beeps three times and the Windows AutoPlay window pops up as if I had unplugged the drive and plugged it back in.
This is happening about once every day.
New to me.
Ideas?

Sounds like the USB power is low make sure you have it in the rear USB ports if using a Desktop PC or you can try using a powered USB Hub.

I agree with power. Are you using the Y USB adapter? Is the cable loose somewhere?

Thanks for the suggestions.
I do use BiaB on a desktop.
The back USB ports are used for other devices.
I don't use a hub on this computer.
All devices are directly connected.
Yes, I always connect both ends of the Y-cable.
A loose cable? I doubt it. But I'll check next time it happens to make sure I haven't pushed against anything.
I notice that 2013 came with a new model hard drive than before.
Maybe an issue with it?
No one else having this problem, huh?

The front USB ports just have thin wires going to the motherboard at the back so you have power loss.
If you can plug something from the back that does not need USB power into the front and have the hard drive
plugged in the back. As BIAB gets bigger you get bigger drives that can use a bit more power.
I've had problems before, so the first thing i did was take the hard drive out and put it in
a USB 3.0 or 2.0 connector case from a brand name like Seagate or Western Digital they only have 1 USB lead on them cause they are higher quality they don't drop out the cheaper ones tend to stint on the cooper used in them.
The hard drives are standard Toshiba or Hitachi but the cases are not that high quality or it would end up
making the price too high. I think most of us would want to keep the original as a backup.
Or you can just take it out the case and hook it up to a SATA connector inside the PC and that will give you greater speed.

Another way to go when you find out that your builtin USB ports are not up to handling the power requirements of accessories such as hard drives is to purchase a Powered USB Hub.
These little things not only extend the number of available USB ports, but have their own wallwart plugin supply that powers the goodies.
I use mine quite a lot here, what with keyboards that now can power from USB. Works great.

I just used one of my Western Digital 2.5" USB 3.0 drives, I pull the USB interface off it and plug in on the
BIAB 2.5" SATA connection and run it from that or transfer it to my SATA III internal drive.
You get faster access than thru USB 2.0.
I got the AudioPhile ver so that is about 1T.
