I'm a new user. I just installed BIAB and RB. BIAB seems to work OK (so far). I opened RB and tried creating a simple song. When I click on Generate or try to play a song I get a dialog box that says "Awaiting MIDI sync". I checked my Preferences and it looks like I am using Microsoft GS Wavetable SW Synth. Am I missing something? BIAB is using the same MIDI and is able to play back just fine. I don't have MIDI devices connected.

Look under the Options menu -> Sync Source
And make sure that "Internal" is selected and checked.

Thanks Mac, that did the trick.  My first attempt at BIAB was pretty successful. I needed to get a lead sheet for a song I wrote. Now I just have to see if it meets with the approval of our piano player. I wanted to see what I could do with RB. Now that I've got it working I'll start playing around with RB's options. Thanks again

I would suggest you try using the VSC DXI (Separate install by itself on BB disk) for your playback sounds. It sounds much better then the MS Synth. Install it and then select it in the midi driver menu of BB/RB. There is a DXI check mark box in that midi menu. Once you have installed it and select that DXI check mark, BB should find the VSC.

I wasn't talking about the sound track. I was talking about the printed lead sheet. I never had a way to transcribe my songs into music. I don't read music very well and write even worse. With the help of BIAB, I just created the piano parts along with writing my own melody (and words). This is really neat stuff.
