Somebody sent this new years greeting to me, and I liked it enough to post it here:

"If I offended you or hurt your feelings or said some things to that were rude or crass in 2012...

then suck it up, Buttercup, 'cause 2013 ain't gonna be any different"

(There's a country song just SCREAMING to get written...)

I liked this one:

"You don't have to agree with me on everything, but it will be a lot easier on you if you do."

Actually heard this once at a design team conference table:

She said, "Be reasonable, do it my way."

I have used this one myself at many a distributor meeting back when I was a liquor supplier . . . I have been told that I may have offended some you this past year, with this being said I am so sorry that I did not have the time to get around to all of you.

Of course my all time favorite regarding being offended . . . People who get offended offend me!

Happy New Year!

Good one. Similar to De Niro, in Casino, with this classic...
Robert De Niro, Casino, 1995.

" Listen to me very carefully. There are three ways of doing things around here: the right way, the wrong way, or the way that I do it." - Ace Rothstein to the slots manager.

As "unreasonable" as that might sound, I've found it to be helpful in getting things done in a business situation. No one wants to do things the "wrong way", but if there is a 3rd option "the way I do it" - that often works, because it doesn't involve a discussion to prove which is the right way.

I'm offended that no one here thought enough of me to offend me in 2012. I'm done.

I think a good few people have been offended by others on the forum in 2012.

The way it usually goes is that the "offended poster" takes some remark completely out of context then comes on and posts or hints that he and its usually a he is going to quit the forum, then all the begging starts from others to persuade him to stay.

Eventually the "offended poster" relents and because he feels much loved and needed again does decide to stay, though it’s open to question if he ever intended to leave in the first place.

More of the same in 13 I guess

If you have, like I have, unintentionally offended someone a simple apology goes a long way!

Ps – for those of you thinking about offending me so that I will leave forget it! I ain’t leaving

Back in my day the only time we started panic buying was when the bartender shouted "last call"!

To be the properly offended poster, you have to insert quotes of every sentence and answer each in turn...
