scusate se faccio il criticone ma ho dei dubbi su BIAB
ho avuto modo di provarlo e purtroppo ho delle perplessità..
non mi sembra che BIAB "generi" musica, ma semplicemente pesca musica già preconfezionata da un suo database interno,se no non capisco come mai ogni volta che carico uno stile mi apre sempre la stessa canzone , con la stessa melodia , stessi accordi etc..
Mah..sarà, ma per ora 'sto BIAB non mi sembra sta gran genialata.

Ci sono gli amanti di Cubase e quelli che preferiscono Cakewalk Sonar, quelli che amano le Fiat e quelli che le odiano, per fortuna non siamo tutti uguali altrimenti … sai che monotonia. Forse tu cerchi un software con caratteristiche completamente diverse da BiaB, proveremo a farti fare amicizia con questo programma ma bisogna innanzitutto correggere il tiro, questo concetto: In risposta a:
pesca musica già preconfezionata da un suo database interno
è un errore madornale.
Per farti capire come lavora il software dovrei scrivere per ore e converrai che non è il luogo e nemmeno il caso. Dovresti provare a dedicargli un po' di tempo e sperimentarlo a fondo (anche con la Demo si può fare) e naturalmente seguendo anche il manuale del software stesso.
Se poi ti capita questa cosa: In risposta a:
ogni volta che carico uno stile mi apre sempre la stessa canzone
vuol dire che qualche impostazione del programma è sbagliata oppure nel (molto probabile) poco tempo che hai potuto dedicargli non sei riuscito ancora a comprendere a fondo come far creare a BiaB una Song nuova completa.
Non posso spiegarti qui ora la procedura, sappi però che uso questo software da più di 10 anni, mi sono creato un repertorio di circa 1400 Songs completamente “nuove” senza contare i nuovi arrangiamenti che ho creato di Songs popolari (un altro migliaio circa).
Certo che anche nel repertorio che mi sono confezionato con BiaB molte Songs assomigliano ad altre, ma è normale! Hai mai avuto l'occasione di studiare un repertorio di grandi artisti o compositori? Beatles, Queen, Pink Floyd, Van Halen, Led Zeppelin, Dave Brubeck, Miles Davis, John Coltrane (solo per citarne alcuni a caso tra quelli che ho studiato) hanno creato, suonato o arrangiato anche loro brani che assomigliano ad altri.
Per lavorare bene con Band-in-a-Box un po’ d’impegno ci vuole, bisogna cercare di studiare a fondo alcune funzioni, sperimentare molto e soprattutto metterci dentro anche la nostra creatività, una delle bellezze di BiaB è che lo permette!
Se vuoi provare a farti un’idea almeno sulle possibili differenze di stili e atmosfere che si possono creare con BiaB prova ad ascoltare questi campioni tratti dai miei lavori: Sample1, Sample2, Sample3, Sample4, Sample5, Sample6, mi auguro non servano invece ad allontanarti del tutto da questo software.
Ora devo salutarti, se vuoi approfondire qualche dettaglio ben preciso sulle funzioni di BiaB cercheremo di accontentarti.

ciao complimenti per i sample, molto belli. allora, rifacciamo tutto dall'inizio: ciao piacere mi chiamo Uacoz, sono di milano e di professione sono tecnico del suono, compositore/arrangiatore, suono la chitarra ma ho una buona base polistrumentistica,insomma lavoro nel settore musicale (e video). Come software lavoro principalmente su Logic Pro e ogni tanto su Pro tools (in passato lavoravo su sonar e cubase). come sono arrivato a BIAB?..ultimamente sentivo il bisogno di un software per esercitarmi nell'improvvisazione e che mi facesse da assistente nelle mie composizioni. Cercando nel web sono approdato a BIAB. Lo sto provando da un paio di giorni e mi affascina molto (nonostante i suoni non siano proprio il massimo, ma non c'è problema, una volta trasferiti i file midi in logic posso assegnare i suoni che più mi aggradano). Sono solo rimasto un po' perplesso perchè anche chiudendo e riaprendo il software, quindi "resettando" il motore di BIAB, quando vado ad aprire lo stesso stile mi riapre la stessa song..da lì mi è sorto il dubbio che bIAB non "crei" le song al momento ma le peschi da un database di song già pronte. Mi pare di aver capito che per "generare" nel vero senso della parola una song bisogna usare la funzione melodist e harmonist. Cmq sicuramente sono io che ancora non so niente del software..leggerò di sicuro il manuale e i forum, e smanetterò il più possibile BIAB. Ciao a tutti e scusate per l'entrata un po' brusca

Ciao Uacoz,
fatalità ero connesso quando hai postato l'ultima volta così posso tentare subito di darti qualche altro suggerimento. Possiamo naturalmente gettare la spugna e rimboccarci le maniche, i malintesi o le scaramucce che possono nascere in un Forum non sono i "veri problemi".
A mio avviso sei già sulla strada buona, Melodist ti offre la possibilità che cerchi, purtroppo è ricco di dettagli nelle sue impostazioni e per ottenere risultati gradevoli bisogna fare molti tentativi ai confini dell'ulcera gastrica.
Non credo ti convenga entrare subito nei meandri di Harmonist, cerca prima di impadronirti del Melodist.
Ti propongo di valutare queste mie considerazioni: le melodie create dal programma si basano tutte su stili prestabiliti, ispirati a vari compositori o a composizioni esistenti. Anche se la programmazione del software è stata concepita in modo tale da tentare almeno di fargli generare ogni volta melodie una diversa dall'altra, la probabilità che queste melodie si assomiglino è molto alta e purtroppo spesso al punto da far apparire una Song interamente copiata da un'altra.
Ecco perchè personalmente cerco di collaborare più possibile con il programma, portando (potrebbe sembrare un controsenso) su di un sequencer esterno il midifile e "mettendoci le mani", però in questo modo l'arrangiamento diventa un po' più mio ed è comodo poter ritoccare qualsiasi parametro.
Mi sembra di capire che su queste cose l'esperienza non ti manchi e tantomeno l'attrezzatura visto che tu stesso scrivi (non del tutto a torto) di non essere entusiasto dei suoni ma che non sarebbe un problema visto che puoi usare logic. Personalmente la considero una soluzione raccomandabile.
