Sounds like you may be trying to copy a score or sheet that is written in 6/8.

I find it good to think like this when doing that with BiaB:

Any 8th note on the 6/8 sheet will be a quarter note in BB.

Any dotted quarter note on the 6/8 sheet will be a dotted half note (or covering 3 beats in BB).

etc.

Note that the duration value of any note in the 6/8 written file will be simply doubled (X2) when placed into BB's "two bars of 3/4 = one bar of 6/8) scheme.

The Tempo setting is also important, but that can usually be found by ear. Or just do that bit of math to derive the new tempo from the original. For example, 120BPM in 6/8 would be the same as 240BPM in the BB scheme.

It will sound identical, but the notation won't be "right" - although with a bit of patience, reading charts this way and making it duplicate the 6/8 from the two bars of 3/4 can indeed be accomplished, don't expect other musicians to be too happy about that <grin>.
