I have the complete BIAB progran installed on my D drive and it is working well. However I want to run the Program from my C drive and leave the Real tracks and real drums on my D drive.
I have now installed the BIAB 2013 program to my C drive and left Real Tracks, drums on my D drive. However even after changing the file locations in preferences (real drums, real tracks) all the real tracks 137- 187 are not loading ( showing 0) in the style picker. The older real tracks are showing up. After trying several times to make the change no luck. The entire program is still stored on my d drive and works well. What am I missing? Help! Thanks, Marty.

Likely made an error in the path to Realtracks.
I've done that before and that was the problem.
D;\bb\RealTracks is what mine is currently listing.
If your bb folder is inside another folder, the string must reflect that as well.
Also make sure that D: is still active. If it is a USB connect, it may not be, that has caught me a time or two as well.

>> However even after changing the file locations in preferences (real drums, real tracks) all the real tracks 137- 187 are not loading ( showing 0) in the style picker
If they are missing from the StylePicker, you are missing STYLES, not RealTracks.
You can see if you have the RealTracks, by visiting the RealTracks Picker (press the RealTracks button).
For the missing styles, you may have installed the styles somewhere else, they would be .sty files (and associated .stx files). You can see what styles are supposed to be there, by opening c:\bb\bbw.lst in notepad, and searching for teh category name that is showing 0, e.g. "Sets 137" without the quotes.
Here's an example.
~RealTracks Sets 137-154 [All] @_BBOPPED.STY\Bebop Trio w PedalSteel Solo[RS]^Bebop rhythm section (piano, ac.bass, drums) backing up WesternSwing pedal steel soloist. Genres & original tempos differ, but the styles still blend together nicely.*Heartaches by the Numbers, Airegin
So you should have c:\bb\_BBOPPED.STY present. (BeBop with Pedal Steel)
If you don't have it, search somewhere else, as it was included with RealTracks Set 149. If you find it, copy the .sty and .stx file (if it exists) to your c:\bb directory.
Have Fun! Peter Gannon PG Music Inc.

Thanks Mac and Peter. The problem was that the styles were not loaded into the BIAB folder in C. Once that was done the program worked great. I had to load the r/t demos to c drive also. Since doing it this way the program loads, generates and renders faster as I had hoped it would.
Mac, my D drive is a 1tb 7200rpm internal drive. That is where I store my audio. I also run my DAW Program Reaper, on my C drive and store all audio on D. I then B/U all audio to an attached USB hard drive. It seems to me when you run both the program and audio from the same drive the drive takes longer to do its magic. Thanks for your help and input.
You guys are great and this kind of help is what makes Band In A Box a five star company. I can honestly say that it would be very difficult to find any other company with this kind of customer support! Thanks again, Marty*****

Marty, I know you solved your problem - great. Couple of quick comments:
It's not a bad idea to run Opt., What Add-ons Do I Have every so often. I've also noticed that the yellow or green info caution boxes that appear in the upper right can point me to problem solutions if something isn't right. I have done a custom BIAB install for years, with only the RealTracks I use on a different internal drive from the program.
Your other comment about having audio software on one drive and the audio data on another, is standard practice on pro setups. I know many who have the application program on the boot drive with the OS, the data files on a separate drive, and the streaming audio samples on yet a different drive. Perfectly normal if you are trying to maximize performance. I don't think it makes much of a difference with BIAB, but if you were trying to run a DAW with all kinds of virtual instruments and processing effects, it might give you a few more tracks before your system said Uncle.

Hi Matt, I agree having two drives is a plus. I have had my DAW program on my C drive for a while. If anyone reading this thread adds another drive, be sure to get a 7200 rpm drive for faster processing. The few extra dollars are worth it. Thanks Matt. Marty

Or, if you want to go overboard like I did, put the RealTracks on a 10,000 rpm drive and the program and OS on a SSD. Then back up the song data to a USB external drive and Dropbox.
My big limitation right now is the processor. I have an aging Intel Core 2 Duo. Just the other day, I installed a program (update to Sibelius 7) that has my system as its minimum requirements! Still, things move along well enough.

Matt When it's your processor which is aging, you know that is when the major upgrades start. Usually when you want to upgrade a processor you'll find that the CPU socket has changed since the last CPU purchase. So - it's a new motherboard! Now the memory which you had upgraded to 8Gb is not compatible with the new motherboard. So - it's new memory sticks! Now the graphics card you have is not compatible with the new motherboard. So - it's a new graphics card. And... so it goes on. This did happen to me and after the dust had settled I basically ended up with a new computer. All I managed to retain was the hard drive, case (not even the power supply!!), keyboard and mouse. AND...I started the 'upgrade' on a Saturday evening when there are no shops open. Now I've learned to do as much homework as possible before removing a single screw! Even then gremlins will attack. Kevin

Yes, youve just described the last six PCs I've built! Except for the Saturday night part...
