Without going into to much detail:

1st: I liked the concept of the first song very much. Nice buiding up BUT: Sometimes A little messy.
Mainreasons: The delay seems not set completely synced in the tempo and has imo too much feedback. So if you'ld ask me, let the delay be in sync with the music and make the feedback lower, that way it is not masking your real playing, and try to correct those notes that you timed a little late (especially with a heavy feedback on your delay). A few out of tune notes I heard as well. The movement on the strings was a bit too loud and disturbed the mix as well. But overall a very nice song. Is it a cover? Santana?

2nd. Europa. Well there I recognized the Santana song. The organ now and then is a bit too much, making it a bit messy again. A little more seperation in the stereo mix might help. Now you got the organ and guitar both as it seems very wide panned. I would narrow those two a bit down and make them more seperated in the mix for more detail. Nicer than the first mix though.

3rd. The sax did not quite seem to be in place here. As an instrument maybe okay, but the rhythmics used, I feel it doesnot fit in. It would be nice to leave something out here and there, it becomes a bit of a long story otherwise. Enough material to create it into a new mix, but a bit of change wouldn't hurt the whole concept.

In general, I think you should do some cutting on certain tracks and/or make a few diferences in the base. Also in the solo's you seem to tend to go over the top somewhat, especially with the FX. I don't know how to express it but as we would say it: It is rippling/babbling on, which is a waste since I think you play good enough to deserve a superpositive comment. Hell I wished I could play guitar like that. So I hope you don't take this comment as a bad thing, it is my opinion, nothing more, nothing less...

I'll be back...

Good to see you man.............

I like the songs, and the guitar playing, they do need some mix work, but I have the same problem with the patience thing.

Welcome back, Swanny. Lemme go listen to your music.

I haven't listened to the other two songs yet, but I love Europa. I think you would have made Carlos and Tom proud!

I'm blessed watching God do what He does best. I've had a few rough years, and I'm still not back to where I want to be, but I'm on the way and things are looking far better now than what they were!

Welcome back, friend. VERY glad to see you here!

Concur with ab's comments on delay on "Because We've Ended". One way to get around some of those 'endless hours' is to arrange it so that you can hear FX while recording but not send them to the track. I saw a headphone amp in the shop yesterday which had inserts for just that purpose. That way you're happy while laying down the track--gotta have the FX so you can play it right--and you can dial it in in post.

Love "Lake Gemini". First I've heard you play with that subtlety. On the intro, were you tracking the guitar, was that a harmonizer, or was it something else?

Last I heard you were gathering information on a new amp. What did you decide on?

R.

Glad you're back!

Really great guitar chops. I see where your talent is, forget the mix. . . I get it. I wish I was at your place with the headphones up LOUD, and a beer in my hand. So glad you decided to share some of your great guitar work. Just close your eyes, lean your head back, and jam on. (Just hit record first. LOL)
