I can vouch for the fact that you need no drivers, wherever they are the o/s finds them.

My wife got the Acer for christmas and I just plugged in the Edirol and it worked. That's XP home edition.

And I plugged it into my new HP with Vista and it worked. Now that is the Edirol 1 in and 1 out, it's a simple midi device and seems to tell that to the USB port in question.

It then shows up in Control panel and inside band in a box once you open the program.

Period.

I have had some problems with other stuff needing to be in the port it was first installed to, but ususally it would be the only thing I stick into the usb.
