Hi Gary...
I think you're right about the cable I have... like I said... there is no "brand name" on the package that it came in. The "MD 100" name is only on the unit itself. It came without any drivers. And yes... I really didn't pay a lot for it. I just ordered the "M-Audio USB Uno" as I've heard a lot of good things about it. And the other thing I like about it is you can download the latest drivers for it from their site.
