IF the notes on the Melody or Soloist track are MIDI notes entered or recorded by you, changing patch or style won't change those notes.
But -- if you have invoked a Realtrack, perhaps, on the Melody track, the style may be placing one of the autoaccompaniment tracks there, and that can be controlled by certain particular styles that may be using the Melody track.
More information about the songfile may be needed here. For example, is it happening with All Realtracks styles?
