About 6 weeks ago Don Gaynor posted telling you about a song I had written that was being considered by a major publisher for a project involving some BIG TV channels. At the time I promised to come back and let you know the outcome. Well.....my song "Harbor Town" didn't make the final cut. However I am not too disappointed because it received some good recognition and has inspired me to try even harder. It's possible that it could still be picked up for a different project at a later date. Just thought I would let you know as promised.

In today's market, even getting close to a cut is a success. Congratulations on that! If your song didn't make the final cut, it did make it past a lot of others! You should be proud.

Val, you were a finalist in a field of 65,000+ IIRC. You can be justifiably proud as we all are for you. Your wonderful attitude is something that we can all learn from and strive to imitate. I see great talent in your songwriting and that will carry you over the line eventually. Stay with it. You go girl!
