I wanted to ask the expert edtiors/programmers here the easiest and quickest way to load in a specific bass part for a song. Sometimes the basslines in BIAB are not quite right and I do have midis that do have the correct part.
DO I need to import the whole midi file, or is it possible to isolate the bass part for insertion into an existing BIAB style?

It is possible to import a MIDI file and then use the big round green SEQ button to mute all parts but the Bass.
The Bass part will be static and will be on the Melody track.
Yhe MIDI style conversion Wizard can also be used to create a MIDI style of a Standard MIDI file, allowing you to have a custom MIDI style to load. This may not be as desirable as a note-for-note of the specified bassline needed, though.

I would do this in your DAW. Bring your BiaB tracks into your DAW then bring in your midi file. Erase all of the midi file but the bass track, or whatever track(s) you want to keep, then mute the BiaB’s corresponding tracks.
It is much easier to do things like this in a DAW plus you have many more options in a DAW that in BiaB for this kind of workflow.
Just my opinions.
FYI - you do have a DAW in RealBand.
Back in my day the only time we started panic buying was when the bartender shouted "last call"!

Thanks guys... I did try that Mac, but I was trying to find a way to avoid using the melody track...it might be that that is the only way though. Mario, yes I was aware But I use Sonar. I did give RB a try but I found it quite "awkward" to use. Probably as I am such a long term Sonar "tragic" I guess, but thanks for the suggestion on a work-around. It was sort of where I was heading with the issue, and then using the Style Wizard to "re-import" the modified midi. Either way it would seem there is no simple cut and paste or "drop-in" method available within BIAB itslef, that does not involve the melody or solo tracks. Maybe they would work though, it is not THAT many songs I am talking about here. BiAB real styles for the most part are very good No probs, it is the way it is  Cheers Dennis

I did try that Mac, but I was trying to find a way to avoid using the melody track...it might be that that is the only way though. Follow Macs instructions and when you have the bass line isolated on the melody track use the menu commands Edit|Copy/Move Tracks. Select the melody track to move from and the bass track to move to. Make sure the drop down box is set to 'Move Tracks' not 'Copy'. Make sure the 'Merge' checkbox is unchecked. Click Ok. your bass part will now be on the bass track and it will be frozen. Be aware if you ever unfreeze the track and regenerate the song you will lose the bass part to a BiaB created version based on the current style. So don't unfreeze it.

Cool, thanks. I understand re the freezing. Won't be an issue as it is a specific part and would not need re-generating Although I guess using Macs method some tweaking of timing may be necessary as a midi bassline may not necessarily match up perfectly with a given style.. But experimentation is the key, so I will look at both methods..I can already successfully convert a full song via the Style Wizard, I was just looking at an alternative to basslines, and probably guitar parts as well.

You can also edit the Biab generated bass track and then freeze it. Assuming it's a midi bass part of course.
