I own audiophile HD versions from 2010, 2011, 2012 & 2013. My gigging HD is the 2011 version (the large box with external power). I am going to replace it with a Glyph Portagig, but meantime I would like to update it to 2011.5. When I try an do the download update, I get the message that my HD is not a 2011.5 version. As I can prove I own 2012 & 2013, is there a way around this so I can update without having to pay 2X? I just want to update the BIAB version ( not RB).

You should be able to run the installation file of your 2011.5 HD and tell it to install to your 2011 HD assuming they are both connected to your PC at the same time. I have BiaB installed on a USB drive and just update it with each newer version and keep the new HD as a backup.

I think I misunderstood. You don't have 2011.5 on HD right? The download updates are patches. They require the right version to update so that won't work.
Why not update to 2012 or 2013 since you have both? That you can do easily as I mentioned above.

Thanks pwarren, my 2010 & 2011 HDs are the older, large box with external power ( not the newer 2.5" buss powered versions). The older ones ran very well so I am trying to make use of them till I get the $ for the Glyph 7200rpm. I do own 2012 & 2013, so I would think I would be allowed to update my older units. You can buy updates (as you have), but if I already own new versions, I was hoping for a method of just installing the update, not wipeing the HD and copying the whole 2012 onto the 2011. I would be happy with just the 2011.5 update.

The free downloadable program updates are not for getting a newer version of BB for free.
The updates apply to each specific version, which you must already own in order to use them, they correct certain bugs and such that are found after release of the product.
To upgrade from your present version to 2013, you should contact pgmusic sales and find out what the cost would be to you for that.

I was hoping for a method of just installing the update, not wipeing the HD and copying the whole 2012 onto the 2011. You can. Connect your 2011 HD to one USB port. Connect you 2013 HD to another USB port. Run the installation option, from the 2013 HD, to install BiaB to a different drive. Indicate the older 2011 HD as destination and install. The 2013 version will install over the old 2011 version including all the RDs, loops and new VSTi instruments as you wish. Should you just want BiaB updated and not all the RDs etc. that's possible too using a custom install. No need to wipe the old drive although that's a perfectly valid option as well.

@ Mac - please read my prior post. I own 2010, 2011, 2012, & 2013 and can proove them all. I'm just making use of my older HDs, not trying to steal a free upgrade.
@ Pwarren - thanks, I give that a shot. I have plenty of USB ports.
