Hi still jazzing, and Welcome to the Forum!
Automatic Rendering to Audio format can only happen when a DXi MIDI synth is active in BiaB.
Under he Options menu, select MIDI/Audio and in the window that opens, lower RH side, check the "Use DXi" box. You must have a DXi MIDI synth installed, such as the Coyote or if your OS is older and can run it, the venerable old but still good VSC Sound Canvas DXi.
The automated rendering happens through use of code in the DXi synths, regardless of whether or not the songfile contains any MIDI files or is all Realtracks or a combination of the two.
