I generate an 8 bar song that also shows a 9a bar, labeled "END", in which I place a G... for an ending but the song cuts off at end of bar 8. (This has worked elsewhere but not now).
I try changing to 9 bars (since shows bar 9a) but it gets even worse.
Also, all bars are shown in tan color, including a bar 10. How do I delete that bar (why does it appear?).
I tried unchecking 2 bar ending. (Why not a 1 bar ending?) with no luck.
Would appreciate a solution....

Presuming you just want the last bar to hold out...
I thought this was fixed, but try this. go to bar 10 and put a different chord (not the G from bar 9) with a rest (for example, D.) and see if it plays out during bar 9. If you want it held 2 bars, then put the rested chord in bar 11.
And of course, your song should be defined as bars 1-8 and make sure you uncheck the 2-bar ending.
That has been a workaround for a long time.
If that doesn't work, then it sounds like the shots and holds for RealTracks were not installed properly.

Check the little box to the right of the Song Title slot and make sure it is set to the right number of bars for the Chorus, which is the whole song...

I did not realize there was a separate install for RealTracks shots and holds.
I assumed running "Setup" off the installation disk loaded all.
I installed shots and holds and that solved the problem.
I'm glad you mentioned that last item.
However when I look at the Styles and scroll down to Real Tracks entries (eg, RT145), they all have 0's next to them.
Does this mean those tracks did not install but should have? (just curious here).

I have had some success by mucking with the number of bars (adding 1 or 2) then changing the bar settings in the upper toolbar. It "fools" the program.
Incidentally, the endings in v2013 are awesome in comparison to previous versions.
An afterthought; try unfolding the song into one long verse before attempting the tricks mentioned above. Possibly even try increasing the number of verses.
