I got the VX to work with PT simply by connecting a midisport 2x2. First make sure you are getting sound out of the VX by twiddling on it's piano display. After usb/midi interface is connected and active close and reopen PT and the VX. In the VX chose midi input as one of the inputs on you usb/midi device and in pt chose a pt midi output as one of the usb/midi interface outputs. Connect a midi cable between the in and out on the usb/midi interface. Play a midi file with PT it will sound all wrong. But wait. set the VX so you can see the bank and program numbers by using the "VIEW" tab on the tools menu. Under "options" chose "multi mode". Now you can go back to pt and assign a midi channel, MSB and LSB to each midi track. Save your PT with a different name that contains "VX" at the end so you know that;s the one you play through the VX.
It would be nice to have a VX patch map for PT.

From page 25 of the VX manual;

" Can I play General MIDI files using the Proteus VX?
A No, but the full versions of Proteus X2 (and Emulator X2) include a General MIDI
bank. This bank will load into Proteus VX."

Anyone out there have a copy of that bank handy?

Does the noise in your head bother me ?
