Why not do it the right way? What you are looking for is called a, "Mechanical License". Licensing is obtainable for cover song recordings, matter of fact it has never been easier to do. There are even complete CD replication services out there that take care of the Licensing registration process for you. After that, there are some rather simple things you have to do to stay in compliance, nothing too spectacular, mostly consisting of reporting your distribution/sales numbers. http://www.bing.com/search?q=complee+CD+...a9f86f1cc3b0d6f Do it right from the beginning and there should never be any Cease and Desist letters coming your way.
