Have you tried a Return to Factory Settings?

I'm not sure if you mean you have BB 2010.5 or may be referring to a VERY old BB ver 10.

If you have a newer version, look under the Options menu inside BB and select, "Return to Factory Settings".

In older versions, that won't be listed as a menu item.

Instead, we would have to do it manyually.

With BB completely closed down, locate this file in your bb folder: intrface.bbw

Delete or drag it out of the folder.

Then start up BB.

BB will create a new file to replace the original one as BB starts up, with everything reset to Factory Defaults.

That file must be written to when BB closes down, sometimes a less than proper shutdown of bb can corrupt parts of that file and then things don't work as they are supposed to work.

If you drag the file out of the folder to somewhere else, like the desktop, and then find out that the new factory default file doesn't cure the problem, you can simply replace the new file with the old one again and won't have lost any of your personal settings. But if doing this restores proper operation, then of course you would not want to use the original file again and the only real loss would be having to set your own personal prefs back as you work.
