Hi Godfrey,
A quick and easy method that can restore the MIDI in most cases is found under the Options menu in Band in a Box - Choose "Return to Facory Settings" but don't move too quickly, notice that there are TWO buttons found there, choose the 2nd one down, which not only corrects any corruption that may have occurred accidently in critical files, but also re-invokes the Audio/MIDI Wizard and will lead you easily to reselect the MIDI output software that is most appropriate for your given setup.
