Eddie's report concerning the voltage on the buss is what's important.
I'd try to find out if that mobo puts 5VDC on the PCI and not the 3.3V of later revision stuff.
And if the mobo does indeed supply the 5v, that's what I'd want for the older design of the soundcard.
