Assuming that the file you're speaking of is a Band in a Box format songfile (.sgu, .mgu, etc) there could be another file on that stick that has the same exact filename prefix as the Band in a Box songfile.
If there is a .wav file in the same folder as a BB songfile, and both share the exact same filename, BB will try to load the other file onto the Audio track.
Perhaps you have another file type on that stick, in the same folder, that has the same exact prefix but is not a .wav suffix file?
Answer to that problem would be to remove one or the other from that folder, or try renaming it, and try loading the songfile again.
