It works fine on my Win 7 machine. Can not get it to work on the XP machine.Have updated Windows with no change. It locks up RB. Might just be the old girl is tired.
Let me know if anyone else runs into this.

I had a sneaky suspicion this issue may be OS related. Seems to be confirmed.
Know that in 3 months there will be no more 'updates' for XP.

I enjoyed XP also, but when MS announced a couple years ago that support was ending, I bought a vowel, got a clue, whatever phrase you want to use. Time to upgrade.

Software marches on .. OS not so much.
Sad but true. Your days are numbered (or expired) in many instances.

I wouldn't assume PGMusic is going to support XP in the future, as it is being deprecated as an OS.
Not saying they won't, but the cause affects the investment/return for them.

PGMusic does have a rather unique history concerning backwards compatibility, though, BB worked on Win 98 and a few of the slightly later OS fiascos and such much longer than the Microsoft expiration of support date.

I've been in other countries and seen guys runnin' BB on puters that were so old I looked for a crank on the side o' the box, man.

Guess it really remains to be seen.

It wouldn't surprise me to see a patch from PGMusic that suddenly fixed it, but sooner or later XP is gonna need replacing. Whether it's for RB or MediaPlayer or Flash or IE.
It's reaching its expiration date.
When support stops, security does also.

Remember when microsoft announced the date that they would stop supporting Win98 -- and then extended support anyway?

At this point none of my Win machines go on line except for software activation. The XP machine is just were I rough out my songs and record parts. The final mix happens on the Win 7 playback machine over my PA system. To replace that XP machine means also replacing my audio interface.
Fixed income and all that.
