Mac - thanks for responding. The transport keeps on going past that point like normal...BUT - I just went back to try a few things and found out what was wrong...

The original stereo track was around 95bpm 4/4 Bossa with drums/keys/bass and I wanted to add Sax. I generated a Real Drum track which worked fine. Then I generated an electric piano track which seemed to play ahead of the original track - after looking at it I could hear the piano was playing the chords in 3/4 even though the RB meter display was showing 4/4. So I looked at the Style window and there was a style that was 3/4 listed. Changed that to a 4/4 style and VOILA - the Idiot was corrected!
