Hi and Welcome.

Band in a Box can SOUND like 6/8 time by using 3/4 styles, too, where it takes two bars of 3/4 and the right Tempo setting to equal 1 bar of 6/8.

Can also sound right using 3 bars of 3/4 to equal 9/8, or 4 bars to equal the sound of 12/8.

There are also certain of the "SW" Swing styles that can sound like 12/8 because Swing style subdivides each beat into 3's.

Note carefully that it "sounds" right when entered right.

For Notation purposes, the above can't "LOOK" right on the staff.

If trying to enter a 6/8 song by copying a chart that is in 6/8, takes a bit of getting used to, especially if transcribing a Melody onto the BB Melody Track. I find it much easier to either Record to MIDI from keyboard in realtime, or use the QWERTY keyboard wizard to tap in the Melody part rhythmically during Playback of the autoaccompaniment.
