Hello, Hope you can help me. I run BIAB 2005 and my MIDI box is a Roland SC55 (and in BIAB I set GM2 support to be Roland GS). On my old laptop (running Vista) everything worked ok, but my new laptop running Windows 8.1 has odd clicking and buzzing and squawking sounds in it - you can hear what I mean by following this link: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/16339424/Record_0002.wavYou can hear the count-in is wrong then strange sounds throughout the playback. It sounds to me as if there is a problem with the driver - do I need to download a special BIAB driver for the SC55 and if so from where? Or any other suggestions? Thanks! Martin

Hi,
I had something similar with BIAB2013 and a brand new Lexicon USB interface. I guess that there is somewhere an incompatibility or mismatch between the different units or an driver issue. I returned it and ordered a different one and will see how to progress.

Hi Martin,
Listened to the file, sounds like a problem with a MIDI synth and a drum part is being sent to a Piano patch.
Also sounds like the Drums track used for Countin may be being sent to a Melodic Instrument Patch in the MIDI synth and not to the Percussion Channel, which with the Roland should be channel 10.
Check bb prefs, channels to see what'e going on there.
Try setting the prefs channels to default and the Roland to GM, just to see if things sound right that way first.

OK, problem solved.
It turns out I needed to untick "Output MIDI Sync info" in "Preferences > OutputCh."
Hope this helps someone else in future!
