Different systems, with differing gain stages, monitoring capabilities and power can result in much difference in SPLs with a case like this.

On my main studio monitoring system, when it is set such that the normal playing of BB songfiles is just fine, the demos are a blaring situation that makes me reach for the big hardware knob every time, as quick as I can. Shouldn't have to do that.

Besides, for proper auditioning/evaluation purposes, the overall amplitude between what BB actually plays and the demos should be exactly equal IMO. And that means user adjustability in order to suit all possible systems. Hopefully in a way that can be set once and applies to all future demo playbacks.

Suffice it to say that the demos need some sort of quickly accessible user ability to tame their amplitude at playback.
