Using BIAB 2014 a volume swell has been introduced to held [C... etc.] chords. it is epecially noticable when holding over a few bars, for example at the end of a song. Is there a way of turning this off?
I am currently working with one of the new styles: _JBSLBPD.STY (BalladSwing w PollWinners[85RS]
and finding it particularly distracting here.

I didn't notice actual Swells, per se, but did notice that my shots and holds were a bit louder than I'd like.
Prefs-RealDrums and in the RealDrums Settings Window there are two slots for adjusting the Shots and Holds velocities. Default is zero, try entering a negative number there.
When back at the main PREFS window, do the same for RealTracks.
I've set all of mine to -3, but may revisit that and try a bit lower.

I have this problem also - volume and swell. It seems to be on old files - in my case hundreds of tunes. It really is a very big change of volume for the hold.  When I first noticed it, I reduced the volume on shots and holds back to zero - I don't think the default was zero, Mack. All mine were +10 or +5, unless that was picked up from my old 2013 version. However, this did not help with the existing song files. The songs I have created since I updated to 2014 do not seem to have the problem. What is a problem is that most of my files seem to need volume remixing and that is a disaster.

Hold on! On the volume of Holds issue, I went back into the 'Real Tracks Settings' and I found the 'Adjust Shot Velocity' was sitting at '10'. I am pretty sure I have never used that setting and it was the one I reduced to zero as mentioned in the previous post. I am wondering if it somehow got changed with the latest update. I changed it back to zero and the problem disappeared in the old file where I had noticed the very big increase in volume.

You can click the Soloist button > Open Soloist > All Realtracks > choose the track > Soloist Maker > Edit > More > Holds db offset
