...I don't know why BiaB does it and not others. BB program is rather unique in that it is a standalone .exe that does not write to Windows Registry or any of that jazz. At one time, there were plenty of programs that worked in this fashion, BB still does for reasons of what BB has to do in order to be all that it is. For one thing, this is why we can carry the USB drive from computer to computer and run the main program from the drive without installing anything more than the parts that must write to Windows Registry, which are only the PG Music Fonts, PG Music Plugins and any softstynths you may elect to install. --Mac
