Preview on DoubleClick

There is a command near the bottom of the Stylepicker window, "Preview on DoubleClick" -- that I use quite a lot.

This feature allows loading of any of the styles into the song that is laid out on the Chord Grid and you can audition them without leaving the Stylepicker window.

Here's what I like to do:

*Load or enter the Songfile.

*May be necessary to temporarily use one of the more basic MIDI styles or even one of the more basic realtracks styles that kind of suits your song.

*Use the Loop command to set the song to Loop at End and start over again and again until such time as you hit Stop.

*Hit Play button and let the song load and start playing.

*Open the Stylepicker Window.

*Now, while the song is still playing, you can highlight any Style in the Stylepicker and, by doubleclicking on it, have it load onto your song and play that style. Stylepicker window remains open throughout the auditioning, and the Filters, etc. will also work.

*Once you find a Style that seems to fit your song, don't just stop there, hit the Prototype button while that style is still highlighted and playing, and an asterisk ( * ) will appear in front of any Styles that also fit the Feel and Tempo of the style you've found, find those in the list and doubleclick them to hear them as well. Narrow it down to the one that works best for that song.
