Hi to forum members and my best wishes for 2014,
Bought early on the 1st day of release, BiaB 2014 ran smoothly up to now, but yesterday, about 00:00 h : product wasn't activated anymore(even with reg serial) and re-installation didn't work at all.
I learned from a dialog that "some files were missing" without any other instruction...
Since I'm the only user of my PC, I wonder if it could be a virus (even though Kaspersky didn't move)...
I don't know if support is available today, so I turn to smart people

You should have received an activation key in your email from PGMusic.
The program runs without activation for 30 days.
You'll now need to Activate it or contact PGMusic.
Likely the missing files are the ones that get created in the TicketActivated folder.
I do not work here, but the benefits are still awesome

EDIT: I see rharv answered just before me. If you had not previously activated, then he's right.

That's too bad. I believe yours is the first report of anyone losing files and an activation problem. Yes, I would suspect virus as well. It sounds like your instincts are good.
If you are looking for a recommendation, I would start with Malwarebytes.

If it is a virus...at least it wasn't the crypto-locker....
Run Malware bytes.... that has always worked on the malware and virus issues I've had with my family's computers. I also use Microsoft Security Essentials and have never had a problem on my machine as a result since I installed MSE.
Yes... BB/RB needs to be activated within 30 days. Check your email for the activation code. Copy and paste.
I run my DAW off line.... no internet, no AV, no FW..... but I do connect to allow it to authorize the software... it's just so much easier that way.
Do a virus sweep/removal, then do a reinstall.... that should not be a problem.... then input the auth code and you should be good. If not, I'd call support as soon as they reopen.

Problem is : I did input the serial sent by PGmusic and it worked (so far)
I can read in "about" dialog :Not Activated. Serial # is: XXXXXXXXXX (my serial)
If I try to re-activate, I get : "some features are disabled. Program is not activated. reason : there are files missing from your installation. You should restore original activation ticket files (How can I do that ?) or reinstall program (I already did)...
Any help appreciated

You may need to totally remove the existing install first. Using the INSTALL/UNINSTALL software from control panel may not be all that is required. I think there are registry lines that have to be removed as well..... best to ask someone who knows about that.... screwing with the registry is NOT something for the uniformed to attempt.... I certainly would not be messing in my registry without specific guidance from an expert on a support call.
Until they open....
I would do a control panel removal and attempt a new install. It may be OK. The worse that could happen is you get the same message. I'm thinking that if you do the new install after deleting the original.... it may replace those missing files and you will be able to complete the installation with registration.
Since it was running.... and it's now saying missing files.... do the reinstall and try it.

Hi Mo,
*The Activation process must have a computer that is connected to the Internet in order for it to work.
*There is a way to do a manual activation for machines that are not connected to the internet, which involves contacting pg music directly in order to register the Activation.
The Internet Connection method should work at any time day or night, the manual method would of course have to wait until pg music is open and staff are available for communication to take place.

Since the net activation method doesn't work ("missing files")and clean re-installation didn't help either, it seems wise to wait for PG support staff input...
Info : RealBand works fine...(says : "RealBand already activated...no need to reactivate again")
