Hi guys,
I'm new here - so hello all..!
I've tried to search the forum re my issue, but nothing comes up....
I have a composition that I have used Real drums with and I only wish to have 1 bar of intro (a drum fill)at the start. All is good before the render - the song starts with a fill, then proceeds, but when I render the song into a .wav, it plays back with 2 intro drum fill bars.
What do I need to do, as any setting I change in the preferences area seems to have no effect?
Regards, Smokey...

Hi Smokey,

Welcome to the forums.

It's always possible to load the wav into Realband or a DAW and simply cut the part of the beginning you don't want.

You might also like to try setting the rendering option shown below to 1. I haven't tried this latter option but, in theory, it should work.

To access these options, go through the WAV icon (#1) and then select "Save all tracks as WAV files (with options)".

When the options dialogue box appears, set up the areas in highlighted rectangles as shown below. If you want to put the audio in a different directory/folder use #3. When all is good to render, click on #4.

Regards,
Noel

If you are trying to do this by altering the Prefs->Countin to be only one bar, well it really wasn't designed for that and likely won't work or stick. Countin is always going to end up as being 2 bars long, hard coded.

i would try this instead:

In the Prefs->Countin, wet it for SILENT. Okay to have the Visible Countin invoked if needed.

Then I would use the "Insert Bars" command at the very first bar of the file and insert 1 Bar there.

Click on the number 2 at the beginning of the 2nd bar to turn it Blue for a Substyle A drum fill, or click again to turn it Green for a Substyle B drum fill.

If the main song starts in substyle A and you've picked a substyle B fill, don't forget to change the next bar back to A.

Then make the beginning of the 2nd bar the First Bar of the Chorus by changing the first of the three number blocks to the right of the songtitle window from 1 to 2.

Hi Noel96,
Aaahh - now that looks promising...
I'll try this when I get the chance - sounds like it may be doubling up at this point. Yes, and you're right, I can load my saved wav's into an audio editor to trim the start - but would be good if it rendered it how I wanted to start with.
Thanks for the heads up buddy..!

Mac - I get ya..,

That also sounds like a plan - so the song will then start with a fill because the substyle is right at the head of the song..?
Cheers my friends..!

If you want Drums only, you can use the Chord Settings to Rest all but... the drums during that bar as well.

Yup.... did that on a song recently. ^^^^^ works fine. Don't like the fills at the intro? Tell it to regenerate the drums.

Copy and paste are your friends.....
