If you added the RealTrack, then you now have an audio track (versus a MIDI track), so changing MIDI velocity obviously won't work. You can adjust the level of that RealTracks audio track a couple of different ways. You could add, for example, the PGDynamics DX effect, or you could select "Edit, Audio Effects, Gain Change" to change the level. The first is non-destructive; the second is destructive.
