There are two basic types of plugins.

DX type are microsoft technology and MUST install to the C: drive with the Operating System as they write to the Windows Registry, among other key things that are needed for them to work.

VST type are from Steinway STEINBERG originally, then turned into open source such that anyone with the knowhow can write a plugin, VST type do not write to registry and therefore can be run from a different drive as long as the host program is properly set up to point to where they reside.

The PGMusic supplied plugins are DX type and therefore must be installed to C drive.

However, since the Installer is on the USB drive as well, nothing prevents someone from using the BB Installer to install JUST the Plugins to any C drive.

Note that in order to use BB on another machine you must also install the PGMusic Fonts in order to see the notes and the pgmusic Chord Fonts as well. Fonts also must install on C and also write to registry in order to work.

Also note that if you are using the current BB2014 version that the Authorization code must be entered for another machine if you want to use it there past the 30-day limit.
