Well, sound will come out of 'em if hooked up right.
Can't answer anything else because it is such a personal issue, only thing to do is try it out for yourself at that point.
Can add that I've even used an old old set of full coverage cans on such a system and it worked fine, just looked kinda geekish but okay for the guy hidden back behind the keyboards. And I heard everything thru my good old dynamic cans with great isolation.
