What settings do I need to adjust to get 16th notes to print clearly? Currently, the notes overlap and sharps and flats completely obscure the preceding note. (No problems seeing the notes clearly on the leadsheet, just on paper.)

You can in the on-screen display, but in the printout, hmmm, no I don't think so. Somebody else might have an idea, but I think that the note size cannot be reduced in the print out. Different Fonts affect the shape of the note.
As a tip, make sure that Engraver Spacing is checked. This stops the notes 'overlapping'. (see images below) HTH Cheers Trevor

In the leadsheet options panel (shown in the previous post by VideoTrack), there is an entry called font size, located in the lower right corner. I experimented with this control to refresh my memory on its use, and sure enough, reducing the value will reduce the size of the displayed musical notation without affecting the bars per line.
I keep the value maxed out for my computer monitor so I can see the notation, from a distance.
I don't know for sure if it prints smaller but I figure it will.
The same control value <font size> works in the notation view as well.
The only difference is that this changes the size of everything (e.g. including the stave), not just the note size only, which I think is what JW was looking for.

I'll definitely double-check that engraver spacing is checked. A work-around that works is to import the BIAB file into Musescore and print it from that program. Not the prettiest way to get the job done, but it works.
