Hi Andrew10, I know exactly what you mean. For some reason, getting software developers to understand why we require the backbeat of 2 and 4 is like pullin' teeth at times. *grin* However, we now have an easy way to get what you need, and it is done with RealDrums and not MIDI. Forum user who has started a web business selling Custom RealDrums was kind enough to not only understand my request for this, but also understood and made one for 3/4 as well as 4/4 (in which the 3/4 hit happens on 2 of the rirswt bar and 1 of the succeeding bar, no more "Strauss Effect"!). And not only that, but he has made them available for free via download. http://realdrumsforbiab.com/dwn/ Download and install them, following the directions, you may ahve to Rebuild your Realdrum picker to see them, no big deal, while these aren't the hihat, they work fine.
