Actually, the scene depicted is not that far away from how contemporary audiences treated Paganini in his day. You get too far out in front of the audience and they can't deal with what you are doing. They declared that Paganini must've been in cahoots with the devil simply because of his playing and execution abilities. Here the two young cellists morph the music into some juicy AC/DC rockband quotes in a Marty Mcfly style reverse timeshift.
